my favorite season ever

my favorite season ever

2019. The best deer season I have ever had for a lot of reasons.

This year I always will say was my best season ever. Regardless if I ever shoot a bigger deer or not, the lessons and passion I had this year was unmatched. This was the year I was chasing Racky Deez, in a whitetail competition with my buddy, and the year I learned so much about hunting, the farm I was on, and had some of the craziest hunts ever.

In the summer I had 2 bucks I knew would be giants. Racky Deez and Titus. Racky Deez was the target, he was the biggest and like I said I was in the competition so I was solely thinking of him. I could go into great detail about this journey but I have uploaded a video on my YouTube channel all about this so go watch it after this if you're curious. But long story short, I had hunted Racky Deez, saw him every single night I hunted him, and then one night after hunting him; he was shot the following morning by a youth hunter over a mile away. I was devastated.

However, I said F that, lets be depressed and still go hunt. And well, luckily for me the next week I had the best pressure system, best night of hunting ever. Titus rolled out super early in the corn, worked all around me all night, got some of the best footage ever; and then with 15 minutes left of light Titus came in sniffing a doe and was 10 yards in front of me. I shot, he ran about 70 yards and fell dead on camera.

Unreal to have a 185 inch deer you're chasing die one week, and then the very next week you shoot a 171 inch deer out of the same area. God bless America.
